Crest Key Legal and Accounting Partners is seeking a full-time Certified Public Accountant to assist with fiduciary accountings and income tax compliance.

Crest Key is a successful and growing law and CPA firm focusing on estate planning, probate and trust administration, tax preparation and international inbound investment into Nevada and Colorado. We are seeking a Certified Public Accountant looking for a new experience that is a departure from the typical accounting firm experience. You will be trained on how to use your accounting skills directly helping and benefiting our clients with their estate planning, probates and trust administrations, and inbound investment into the US. We are focused on providing our clients with straight forward information because we take seriously how we impact the lives of our clients and family members. While our focus will be on fiduciary accountings and tax preparation, we also assist businesses, US citizens, and foreign nationals in preparation of income tax returns.

This position will work closely with an experienced Attorney who is also a CPA who specializes in preparation of fiduciary accountings pursuant to the Nevada and Colorado Revised Statutes for trusts and estates.  You will be trained and guided to successfully complete fiduciary accountings that will include preparation of inventories filed with state courts, determining elections to take deductions or reporting income on the deceased’s last individual income tax return or on a fiduciary income tax return. Creditor claims are to be compiled, analyzed, and accounted for. Fiduciary accountings will trace from filed or published inventories of deceased assets, through statements of increases and decreases, calculated beneficiary/heir equity, and through filed fiduciary income tax returns and amounts reported on K-1s.

Duties and Functions

Income tax preparation for individual, corporations, partnerships and fiduciaries.
Tax preparation of estate and gift tax returns.
Preparation of fiduciary accountings according to Nevada and Colorado Revised Statutes.
Preparation of inventories filed with state court.

Education and Experience

Licensed CPA
Possess 2 – 4 years of experience in accounting and tax preparation.
Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Advanced computer skills, including the ability to use standard desktop software programs, such as Word and Excel, QuickBooks and Office 365.
Attention to detail, self-starter, able to manage multiple projects and prioritize issues under deadline.
Ability to think and plan strategically and collaboratively work with all levels of staff and clients.

Licensed CPA is required and preferred license in Nevada and/or Colorado
ProSystem fx proficiency


Contribution funding support towards medical benefits

Continuing professional education funding support
Salary $55,000 to $65,000 DOE
